My thanks to Wesley Fryer for his article that gave me ideas for spreading the message about everything 2.0 (Web, School, Classroom) to teachers and administrators in my district.
I have been talking about my growth as a 21st century digital learner. The ride has been phenomenal. I have experienced both triumphs and setbacks along with belief and doubts about my abilities to implement new tools in my classroom. I am motivated, nonetheless, to continue growing. One vehicle that has helped me immensely involved my visiting with teachers taking the same tech integration course I took last summer. I spent two days with these teachers who were immersed in Pat Sine’s 10 day summer session course. Prior to my visits, however, I participated in the class via my comments on their class blog and my contributions to the class wiki. I was able to share my experiences and engage in conversations about the use of read/write tools in the classroom. I have grown more comfortable using tags, social bookmarking, and RSS feeds to enrich my use of the web. These activities have helped me grow and get more comfortable using Everything 2.0.
