8 Random Facts

I discovered this meme by Wesley Fryer and thought I would give it a go. Just a little fun before returning to the business at hand.

I must start with giving the Rules:

1) Post these rules before you give your facts
2) List 8 random facts about yourself
3) At the end of your post, choose (tag) 8 people and list their names, linking to them
4) Leave a comment on their blog, letting them know they’ve been tagged

Here are my 8 random facts:

  1. I love watching the Star Trek franchise television programs and movies.
  2. I fell in love with banana ice cream because my grandparents owned an ice cream stand. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in the mid 60’s when a car ran into an external gas tank behind the store.
  3. My first pet was a cat named Homer.
  4. Two of my favorite musical performers are Joe Sample and Earth, Wind & Fire
  5. Where I grew up, I could see the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and the Twin Towers from my bedroom window.
  6. When I was five years old, I wanted to host my own radio show. I got the opportunity to host a show on a college radio station.
  7. I’ve been awed by visits to the Grand Canyon, Sunset Crater and Niagara Falls. I want to see more natural wonders.
  8. The last Broadway play I attended starred Judith Jamison, Phyllis Hyman, and Gregory Hines in Sophisticated Ladies.

    OK Tony, I’ll play along. I am not sure about all of this though…. ;-)

    1. I can eat just about any food I want and not gain weight.(Lay’s chips are my favorite. Although I recently became addicted to CHILLI CHEESE DOGS)
    2. I recently got “carded”…it made my day.
    3. I love watching Forensic Files, Rescue Me, & Damages.(TiVo helps)
    4. I enjoy traveling but not by car. (No patience for the drive)
    5. In 4 more years my car will officially qualify as an “antique”. (But it runs like a charm)
    6. I could listen to Stevie Wonder all day long.(And I have ;-} )
    7. I have never been able to develop a GREEN THUMB.
    8. The longest bike ride I ever went on was for 65 miles.
