Thanks for your comments, Ktwood.
Having my students create their own podcasts and review other students’ podcasts should help these students connect with broader audiences for their work. I would like to think this connection will also strengthen students higher order thinking skills. Finally, I think students will enjoy having this kind of responsibility.

I certainly hope that podcasts are not already more “blah, blah, blah” to students. I think they can really get a lot out of creating their own and reviewing other students’ podcasts. I plan to try it with our students this year and can’t wait to hear how you make out with this new adventure. Best of luck!

Thanks for your support and kind words Fiona, Brian, and David. I am surprised and pleased that you continue to follow my blog despite my long absence. My recovery has been a long process, but I look forward to continuing my writing in a month after I return to work.

Tony, I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well and wish you the best. I enjoyed reading the blog from Carol and your classes. I too, have found that live blogging in class to be a powerful tool. Not as much luck with the participation out of class. Keep pushing the tech. – you are a leader in our district.

I’ve just received the comment above above from you (addressed to Larry!) – not sure what’s happening. Anyway just to update you, you can now embed Animoto videos in edublogs – from the code paste the url into the F button. Check it out on my blog.

Fliptrak seems pretty cool. I am going to give it a whirl and see what I can produce. As Rachel mentioned earlier, it is always great to find cool new tools.

Well done Tony, cool slideshow.

You could try to reorganise the slideshow differently if it doesn’t make sense for you, otherwise go for an automatic remix and see what you get!

Always great to find cool new tools huh!
